A message from Irina:

After a severe form of COVID-19 in 2021, which required invasive intubation, severe total hypoxia, resuscitation, and complete dependence on oxygen for about three months, with a survival chance of less than 15%, I proved to all the medical staff who fought for my life, and to everyone praying for me daily, that survival chances, medically estimated and by the will of the Lord, can turn into "miracles". Yes, I survived. Yes, a difficult recovery period followed, during which I learned to breathe again, to make my first movements with my hands, and to teach my organs to execute the brain's commands... Yes, I learned to walk again, making between 50 to 80 steps daily, even when my heart rate exceeded 150 beats per minute, and my breathing was difficult... Yes, I learned to breathe and to see the world in brighter, more expressive colors, which triggered an unimaginable lust for life! But all this, the joint success of doctor and patient (me), was made possible thanks to the natural impulse and intense desire to meet my daughter, whom I had been waiting for 10 years, and my desire to be a mother. I brought her into the world one afternoon, at 30 weeks of pregnancy, on the day when, at the moment of my child's birth, I was induced into clinical death... I fought for hours, days, weeks, months... all with the burning desire to hold my daughter and to see my dream come true. 

However, after 3 months of continuous effort and progress, a new challenge emerged - the identification of a floating thrombus in the heart as a post-COVID complication. Without hesitation, although I had barely managed to hold my little one in my arms, I agreed to surgery, entrusting myself into the hands of the Lord and the doctors at the Republican Cardiological Hospital. This was followed by 4 weeks of recovery, marked by mechanical pneumonia and various dysfunctions. Upon discharge, I was the happiest, thinking: "Lord, I survived. I am going to my little one and to my family. Thank you, Lord, for this gift!" The first embrace of this "ray of happiness" was my blessed moment. Time passed, the little one grew, I underwent recovery treatments, and returned to my job. But 15 days ago, I received another devastating diagnosis: avascular necrosis of the femoral head grade III on the right and grade II on the left, including aseptic necrosis of the left talus with intraarticular fracture of the cortical layer and cortical erosions of the cuboid bone.

Considering the advanced stage and the need for urgent surgery for total hip arthroplasty on the right side (scheduled for 21.03.2024 in a private clinic), as well as the subsequent need for left leg arthroplasty, a surgery not performed in the Republic of Moldova, the necessary expenses far exceed my family's capabilities.

Please help me get the chance to walk on my own feet again and raise my daughter. You are my hope for a full life with my family.
