A message from his parents:

Our little Zidan, at just 22 months old, received a heartbreaking diagnosis: Stage 4 brain cancer. Just a short while ago, he was full of energy and smiles, but everything changed drastically in March. He became irritable, cried frequently, and had restless nights. At first, we thought it was just a phase related to his age.

On March 23, our world was shattered. Zidan lost the ability to walk and was constantly in pain and tears. We rushed him to the doctor, and the diagnosis was devastating: Zidan has a rare brain tumor called "Pineoblastoma," which accounts for only 1% of brain cancer cases. That same day, he underwent surgery to place a brain shunt. Following this, he had several more surgeries and tests, revealing that the tumor had spread to his spine. Each day brought more grim news, and every question we asked the doctors was met with uncertainty. Desperate, we began seeking treatment options in various hospitals, hoping to find a cure or at least a better survival chance than the 10% we were given.

We looked for hope in the doctors’ eyes, but the answers were always the same: Zidan’s condition is rare and serious, and the road to recovery is uncertain. In one month, we switched hospitals three times, had four surgeries, and went through six rounds of anesthesia. We started chemotherapy, which was an incredibly painful process for our little boy. His headaches made nights unbearable, forcing him to sleep sitting up because he couldn't lie on his back. That month was a true nightmare. Despite this, we have not lost hope of finding a treatment. We sent his test results to numerous hospitals for second opinions. Some rejected us, others accepted, but the fight is far from over. We found two hospitals that might be able to help: one in Boston and one in Texas. Unfortunately, neither accepts our insurance, and the treatment is lengthy and extremely expensive, which we cannot afford at the moment.

In this ordeal, we have learned that life isn’t measured in money or days, but in love, hope, and faith. Zidan’s life now depends on all of us, on every open and generous heart that can bring a ray of light into his suffering. We believe in the power of people to do good, in the power of faith, and in the hope of a brighter tomorrow. For Zidan, every act of love and solidarity can mean the difference between despair and hope.
