Greetings,
We are the Patosca family from the Republic of Moldova (Gagauzia, Ceadîr-Lunga municipality). We have nine children, all our own, and one of them, our daughter Salomia, urgently requires a costly surgery. About two months ago, Salomia (11 years old) was diagnosed with a rare condition called moyamoya. This condition is so uncommon that the doctors had difficulty identifying the cause of her symptoms. These symptoms manifest as sudden loss of control over her legs, without any warning, causing her to fall and lose consciousness. Because of this illness, our daughter has already suffered one stroke. If she does not undergo surgery soon, the likelihood of multiple strokes is very high, with all the serious consequences that come with it. In the worst-case scenario, it could be fatal...
In our country, this disease is extremely rare. Doctors have little to no experience or knowledge of it, and many have never even heard of moyamoya. However, after extensive research, we found a specialized children's center for moyamoya in Zurich, Switzerland. It is the only moyamoya center in Europe that treats children with this condition and conducts research in this field. We sent them the medical results we obtained in Moldova and received a response from Professor Kan, who confirmed the diagnosis and the need for neurosurgery on the blood vessels of the brain. The exact number of vessels that require bypass surgery and which ones need to be treated first will be determined after a thorough examination. Our daughter can be saved!
But the cost of the treatment is enormous, far beyond what our family can afford. We are reaching out to you, asking for your help in raising the necessary funds to save our daughter's life before it's too late!
