A message from relatives:
Lavinia Toma is a 12-year-old girl from Sadyk village, Cantemir district. This is the first child in the family. Lavinia has a sister and a brother, and soon her mother will give birth to the fourth child.
Problems began in 2014, when the first symptom of the disease emerged: speech disturbance and after about two months she began to have difficulties swallowing and to felt very tired.
She was hospitalized in February 2015, when she found out the diagnosis: myasthenia gravis. The disease is terrible, it progresses and it is accompanied by bouts of gasps and severe fatigue. At present, the daughter can not go to gymnasium. After countless and expensive treatments, the situation has not changed abit. At the end of 2015, the girl underewent surgery, but also with no visible results. The child still feels bad, myasthenic crises are repeated often.
Recently, the family managed to raise money and went to a Moscow clinic where the girl was examined and it was recommended to make another surgery to remove the thymus gland. For the surgery it is required to pay € 6,000, a summ they cannot afford because the parents do not work (the mother is pregnant, and the father's earnings are not permanent). Grandmother works at the gas station, and she continues to help them. We write this letter with the hope that you will help this girl.
Thank you!
