A Message from Alina:

Dear friends,

I never thought I would be in this position, but I have no other choice but to ask for help. After months of medical tests, surgeries, and treatments, my family has exhausted every financial resource we had. Until now, I managed to get by with the support of my loved ones, but we have reached a point where we simply can’t afford the next steps on our own.

During my second pregnancy, at 34 weeks, doctors discovered a growth on my left femur, triggered by hormonal changes. On March 18, 2024, I underwent a biopsy and spent weeks in fear, knowing that my ability to give birth naturally depended on the results. The news came just one day before my due date—April 16—and it brought some relief: the tumor was benign. The next day, on April 17, I gave birth naturally, filled with hope but also uncertainty about what the future held for me.

Doctors advised me to focus on my recovery and caring for my newborn for the next two to three months before starting treatment.

Unfortunately, my condition worsened. The pain in my leg became unbearable, and further tests revealed that the bone had already started to deteriorate. Surgery was no longer an option—it was an emergency. On July 25, 2024, I underwent a surgery to remove the tumor, which was then sent for histological analysis. A month later, on August 29, I received the devastating news: 15% of the removed cells were malignant. After consulting with specialists, doctors decided I needed a second, more complex surgery to thoroughly clean the affected area.

Now, after months of waiting for test results and six months of relying on crutches, fear continues to consume me. My diagnosis keeps me on edge—I live with the constant fear that the disease will progress.

My only hope now is to seek advanced testing and treatment in Turkey, as the necessary medical technology and options are not available in my country. I am turning to you, people of goodwill, in desperate need of support. Any contribution, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to healing and being there for my children as they grow.

The amount I need is not huge, but at this point, we simply can’t afford the necessary medical investigations.
