My name is Ala Herghelegiu, and I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea. I am battling a severe illness called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and I have a unique and crucial opportunity to participate in an ALS research study in Florida. Time is precious for me, and your support could mean the difference between life and hope.

Since being diagnosed with ALS, my life has changed dramatically. Yet, I’ve chosen to fight not just for myself but also for others. Although I face daily challenges, I firmly believe that together we are stronger in this battle, and with your help, I may still have the chance to enjoy life.

I have this opportunity to join a research study in Florida, but the cost is beyond my family’s financial means. Doctors both here and in Romania told me that I might only have two years to live and that there is no cure, but I have not stopped searching for solutions. This opportunity feels like a gift from above, and it gives me hope that participating in this study could make a significant difference not only for me but for other ALS patients as well.
