Animal Shelter "AOVA" has a distinctive feature: it contains both dogs and cats. At present there are 300 dogs and 30 cats.

Currently the shelter is based on self-financing activities, as well as on voluntary donations. From time to time the assistance is provided by volunteers and animal protectors.

The organizers and the main staff of «AOVA» shelter are two enthusiasts: a husband and a wife who truly care about the deplorable situation of homeless animals in the city. By creating the shelter, the spouses use their efforts and means to helps powerless and defenseless animals.

Animal shelter «AOVA» requires the following assistance:

1. Funds for the maintenance of animals and public utilities - electricity, water, gas, etc.;
2. Products, food for dogs and cats (trimming, bone for dogs, cereals, dry food for cats and dogs);
3. Old blankets, bedspreads and rugs - for warmth in the cells during the cold season;
4. A veterinarian who works on a permanent basis;
5. Funds for the payment of wages to two employees. The size of the salary for each employee's is 3000 lei per month;
6. Volunteers for help;
7. Assistance in the removal of animal waste.

The staff of the animal center «AOVA» asks all concerned people to participate in the fate of these pets and to join forces in order to assure a more human and civilized attitude towards homeless animals.
